How is it calculated?
Enter the grade and the credit (or weight) for each course; use “Add a course” for as many rows as you need. The tool multiplies each grade by its credit, adds them up, and divides by the total credit. The grade can be on any scale — out of 100, out of 4, or your own — as long as it's the same scale for every row.

Frequently asked questions
Can I enter grades on a 4.0 scale?
Yes. The grade field accepts any scale (out of 100, a 4.0-scale grade point, or anything else); what matters is using the same scale for every course.
Can I use something other than credits as the weight?
Yes — “credit” is really just a weight. For an exam average you could use each exam's percentage of the final grade; for anything else, whatever weight makes sense.
How many courses can I enter?
Up to 20, which comfortably covers a single term or a short list of exams.
What if I only have one grade?
You can enter a single row; the average of one grade is just that grade, which is a valid, if trivial, use of the tool.
