How does it work?

Choose the action and the scope, then paste your text. 'Component' encodes a query value or path segment (special characters like & = ? / are encoded too); 'Full URL' keeps the URL's structure such as https:// and / ? &. When decoding you can also treat '+' as a space.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between component and full URL?

Component mode (encodeURIComponent) also encodes & = ? / # and is what you use when putting a value into a URL. Full URL mode (encodeURI) leaves those alone and only encodes characters that aren't valid anywhere in a URL.

Is '+' the same as %20?

In form data '+' means a space; in URL paths it doesn't. That's why decoding has it as an option.
