How is it calculated?
Enter the start time, end time and break (lunch, etc.) in minutes for each day; use “Add a day” for as many rows as you need. The tool works out each row's duration (end − start − break) and adds them up. If the end time is earlier than the start, it's treated as a shift that runs past midnight.

One day's duration = End − Start − Break

Frequently asked questions
How do I enter a shift that runs past midnight?
Enter the end time normally (say, 22:00 start, 06:00 end); if the end is earlier than the start, the tool treats it as a shift that continues into the next day.
Can I enter a shift that's exactly 24 hours long?
No. When the start and end time are the same, the duration comes out as zero; a full day's shift can't be expressed this way.
How many days can I enter?
Up to 14 days, a two-week period.
Does this work out legal overtime pay too?
No. This tool only adds up time worked; pay should be worked out separately, based on your contract and the overtime rules that apply to you.
